Managerial

· Oversee day-to-day sales efforts of the sales department
· Focus on people and people development including:
· Coaching and mentoring team member
· Perform regular performance review and engage in ongoing feedback with regard to staff goals, objectives and performance.
· Manage financial activities including:
· Develop expense budget and target to execute sales related activities
· Establish sales targets, adjust sales coverage and distribute accounts

Technical

· Develop and implement annual sales activity plan with measurable targets and expense budget to achieve budgeted revenue
· Either own or actively supervise the management of key accounts (e.g. large corporate accounts) in either high-value or priority growth segments
· Ensure that the marketing team updates all activities in the marketing plan related to sales
· Keep abreast of current and future competitors’ products, pricing, and sales programs and deploy resources to efficiently optimize RevPar and achieve/maintain the leading market position
· Provide customer intelligence in evaluating the market and economic trends that may lead to changes in sales strategy to meet or exceed customer expectations
· Sit in and actively participate in regular revenue strategy meetings and implement actions relevant to sales
· Recommend contracted room rate structure including but not limited to corporate rates, wholesale rates, long stay rates, group rates to maximize revenue generation
· Drive cross-selling and up-selling activities with sales channels and across the front-line
· Conduct regular account review (minimum quarterly) with each sales division and each member of sales team
· Develops strong community and public relations by maintaining property participation in local, regional and national tradeshows and client events and attend trade shows and sales missions as outlined in the Marketing plan
· Actively support and implement group wide sales initiatives
· Establish and ensure that the account management activity is strictly adhered to by all sales personnel achieving maximum productivity levels
· Implement approved sales incentive program to motivate and drive sales team to achieve/exceed the revenue aspiration of the hotel
· Build positive working relationship with all departments and hotels; ensure understanding of Sales programs and the wants, needs and expectation of customers/guests.
· Ultimately responsible for driving online sales
· Contribute to training of employees, participate in the PSQ training and lecture at IIHC as and when requested

· Strong competency in the following areas: managing business relationships, organizational skills, providing business reason for change, decision-making, planning and executing projects, managing a budget, communicating corporate information, listening to others, and creating an inclusive culture
· Strong leadership skills to effectively manage multifunctional teams to achieve a high level of performance and exceed targets
· Excellent sales experience across various channels (call-centre, front-line staff, OTAs) specifically in the Hotel industry
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
· Strong attention to details and ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

PROFILE
· Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management or a related major from a recognized university
· 5 to 7 years of experience in an equivalent managerial position
· Demonstrated knowledge and experience in sales activities, managing marketing projects with budget responsibilities, and interpreting moderate to complex sales data
· Demonstrated progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance
· Hotel industry work experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.
