PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Operations Manager will inspire employees and develop staff who can create the brand's ideal experience, providing "services that enhance the life experience (Chidori Experience)" for customers s.
The Operations Manager will lead a team of store managers to evaluate each store's customer experience and coach them to solve problems and build capacity to deliver results.
1. RESPONSIBILITY

Understand the customers of the store portfolio that you manage for which you are responsible and support the store manager in enhancing the Chidori Experience at each store.

Have an intentional plan to improve the performance of the entire store portfolio by enhancing the customer experience.

Intentionally utilize meetings to share information, build capacity, and connect with the team.

Complete administrative tasks in a timely manner.

2. BUSINESS ANALYSIS & PROBLEM SOLVING

Regularly uses the business analysis cycle to evaluate the business, identify trends, and guide activities to improve the customer experience and overall portfolio performance.

Organizes and balances the observations, data, and input from others to identify opportunities for improvements across the portfolio and in individual stores.

Consistently use operational excellence tools to generate insights.

Strive to understand the organization's priorities and initiatives from a store portfolio perspective.

3. PRIORITIZING & PLANNING

Uses prepare, coach, evaluate and follow up cycle with each store manager to guide their work.

Plans your schedule for meetings with store managers and store visits.

Builds a calendar that includes schedule for office work and in-store work.

Uses the evaluation to determine which stores to visit more frequently to guide improvement.

Plans their calendar so that your time is spent where it is most needed; creates space to adapt to the unexpected.

4. CULTURE & EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION

Plays the role model creating Chidori Experience for customers.

Has relationships with store managers and encourages two-way dialogue.

Understand the positive and negative aspects of the impact of your leadership in leading others to change.

Recognizes and celebrates staff for connecting with customers and demonstrating humility, integrity and ownership that follows the value of the company.

5. COACHING FOR DEVELOPMENT

Assesses manager capability using the career development data.

Has an intentional plan to develop manager capability; uses the discovery questions to generate insights.

Conducts meaningful development conversations and actively support staff development plans.

Proactively supports and understands how store managers are embracing change in order to provide the right support while guiding them through it.

Plays the role model of personal growth through self-awareness and reflection.

1. BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Progressively responsible retail experience (5+ years).

Operations Manager or equivalent level position (1+ year).

Experience analyzing financial reports.

Experience in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Experience in managing multiple stores.

Retail management experience.

Effective English reporting skill (must-have).

2. OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Ability to manage the overall operations of multiple stores independently.

Knowledge of retail or restaurant industry operations.

Organization and planning skills.

Strong operational skills in a customer-service environment.

Supervisory skills.

Team-building skills.

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

Ability to build relationships.

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

A degree in business or a closely related field may substitute for a portion of the required experience.
